The IMBS Green Campus proudly celebrated its 9th anniversary at the Gampaha and Kurunegala branches with meaningful Buddhist religious ceremonies, emphasising its deep-rooted cultural and spiritual values. The two-day celebration reflected the institution’s commitment to tradition and community spirit.
The anniversary observances at the Gampaha branch commenced on the evening of September 29th, with a Seth Pirith sermon led by the Maha Sangharatne. This event aimed to bless the institution, staff, and students, invoking peace, wisdom, and prosperity. The chants of the monks resonated throughout the campus, creating a serene and reflective atmosphere. The ceremony brought together the IMBS Green Campus community, including Prof. Sarath Amunugama, Chairman and Course Director; Mr. Gotabaya Jayaratne, Director; and officers, faculty, and students, who all participated with devotion and reverence.
On September 30th, the celebration continued with a Dakshina offered to the Great Buddha Pramuka Arya Maha Sangharatne at the IMBS Green Campus branch premises. This act of giving highlighted the campus’s commitment to practising gratitude and showing respect to the Buddhist clergy, embodying the values of generosity and spiritual connection.
In a parallel celebration, the Kurunegala branch of IMBS Green Campus organised similar events featuring a Seth Pirith sermon and subsequent Dakshina offerings. These ceremonies brought together staff, students, and distinguished guests in the region, fostering unity and reinforcing the campus’s shared mission.
