The Higher Diploma in Business Management and Human Resources offers a wide range of
managerial skills and competencies to blend the right essence from the Business and Human
Resource Management disciplines.

Must complete four (04) core mandatory units and two (02) of the three optional units.

Educational Qualifications:

Prospective students should have successfully completed their,

  • Be a Diploma holder at IMBS Diploma OR any other Diploma related to Business Management, Business Administration or HRM or any other related area.
  • OR possessing 03’S passes for G.C.E A/L Examination.
  • OR any other qualification upon the Board’s approval.

Methods of Assessments

Method of Assessment

All assessments are administrated by ABE UK as per global standards. The two main assessment methods are.

  1. Timed open-book exams (timed OBEs): Timed OBEs require you to prepare throughout your learning, keeping detailed notes from lectures, study guides, and wider reading. Once the question papers are published you will have three weeks to complete your answers.
  2. Assignments: Assignments test your ability to apply knowledge to real-world scenarios. You are required to do greater research and have more control over the format of the work and more narrative is required.

In order to be awarded the qualification learners must achieve a minimum of a Pass in all six units.

You should complete all six modules within one year of their registration. If not, a resubmission fee and annual subscription should be paid; that amount could be received from the UK in the meantime.

 

Grading Criteria

Grading Criteria

Merit Pass:

A student registered for the Diploma will be awarded with distinction if they satisfy all of the following conditions:

  • Obtained grades “B” or better in all course modules.
  • Obtained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 from all course modules.
  • Complete the relevant requirements at the first sitting.

Pass:

A student registered for the Diploma will be awarded the Diploma if they satisfy the following conditions:

  • Obtained grades of “C” or better in all course modules.
  • Obtained a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 from all course modules.
  • Complete the relevant requirements within the period of three years since first registration.

Final Grading:

Grading will be awarded by aggregating the marks for continuous assessments and the final examination. A grade point value, as indicated below, is assigned to each grade.
