Empowering Rural Schools: IMBS Green Campus’s Computer Donation Programme

In a continued effort to bridge the digital divide and provide access to technology for all, the Students Union of IMBS Green Campus’s Gampaha Main Branch embarked on the second phase of their programme to provide free computers to rural schools lacking computer facilities. On October 6, 2023, an impactful event was held at Karandeniya Mahagoda Junior School, Ambalangoda, where seven valuable computers were generously donated to the school.

A Gateway to Digital Literacy

The computer donation programme aims to open the doors of digital literacy and educational advancement for students in rural areas. IMBS Green Campus firmly believes that access to technology is a fundamental right that can empower young minds and broaden their horizons.

A Brighter Future Awaits

As Karandeniya Mahagoda Junior College students embark on their digital journey, a brighter future awaits them. With access to computers and the community’s support, they are better equipped to thrive in a world increasingly reliant on technology.

IMBS Green Campus remains committed to making a positive impact in the lives of students, and initiatives like the computer donation programme are a clear demonstration of this commitment. The IMBS Green Campus looks forward to more opportunities to empower young minds and foster growth and development in the communities it serves.
