In a continued effort to uplift and empower young minds, the Department of Psychology and Counselling Studies at IMBS Green Campus organized another inspiring one-day workshop. This event aimed to foster children’s mental development and skill-building in Child Development Centers under the Department of Probation and Child Care Services.
Held on September 14, the workshop witnessed the enthusiastic participation of dedicated lecturers and students from the campus’s diploma course. It was a day filled with valuable lessons, growth, and unforgettable moments for the Makola Certified Boys School children.
Distinguished Guests and Collaborative Efforts
This workshop’s success resulted from collaborative efforts between IMBS Green Campus and the Department of Probation and Child Care Services. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Ms. Peshala S. Abeysuriya, Western Provincial Commissioner of the Probation and Child Care Services Department, Mr. T.B.N.U. Kumara, Assistant Commissioner; Ms. Inoka, Centre Probation Officer; Ms. Thejage, Schoolmaster; and Mr. Tharindu, Head of Detention.
In addition to the dedicated campus team, special thanks were extended to Ms. Dulangala M. Welikanda and Ms. Sonali Fernando, both esteemed lecturers in Psychology and Counselling at Green Campus, who generously contributed their time and resources to make this program a resounding success.
